Workshop Sign-up

We have started using facebook as way to spread the word about our workshops.  You can invite your friends on facebook to join you to a class or workshop you are attending, or if you think you know someone who might be interested.

For those of you not into facebook, we have our schedule posted here on our blog on the right hand side, along with a link to sign-up. If you sign up online, we will call you to officially register ahead, to save you a place in the class.  Also, in case you didn't know, our monthly e-newsletter is a great way to stay informed about classes and other events here.  The sign-up for that is also over on the right hand column.   Thanks for your interest and we look forward to offering more classes through the year!

Christmas Flowers

We have found over the years that our customers prefer interesting alternatives to the traditional red poinsettias. Here are some of our favorites that you'll find in our shop this year.

Marble Star Poinsettia

Dark Pink Poinsettia

Red Glitter Poinsettia
Winter Rose Poinsettia

Another wonderful addition to any celebration during the winter months is forced bulbs.  We have Amaryllis, Paperwhites, and Hyacinths.  Pot them up and put them in a warm, light-filled space. While the garden outside is alseep for the winter, it is so sweet to watch them emerge and grow into a flower indoors.

Introducing Yala Bamboo Dreams

We are thrilled to offer a line of sustainable and luxurious clothing to our customers this fall.

Yala's clothing is made from 95% bamboo fibers, providing the clothing with many wonderful qualities. It is deliciously soft, easy to care for and produced in a way you can be proud of.

Bamboo is grown organically and regenerates quickly.

It also produces 30% more oxygen than trees and is a hardy plant requiring no irrigation, saving a lot of water compared to cotton production.

This fiber is also Oeko Tex 100 which means it is free from chemicals or harmful substances.

Yala only uses natural or low impact Azo-free dyes and goes beyond many to keep their business ecologically and socially responsible.
