Fairy House Workshop

Coming up on Saturday September 27 (at 2pm) we have a fabulous workshop on Making Fairy Houses .  This class is for anyone who wants to get creative and make fun additions to their miniature garden. Maybe you have the perfect spot in your garden to welcome the garden spirits by placing a little house or hut. Weather permitting, we’ll start the class off with a scavenger hunt in the garden to collect found obj ects to incorporate into our projects.  Fall is a great time for this workshop because we have many dried items like seed pods, acorns, and pine cones to find this time of year. Think ahead by bringing in things from home like small baskets or containers that could be used to make a fairy hut or maybe even a miniature tree house? $20 Fee covers all materials and instruction, but participants are encouraged to bring in objects from home to incorporate into their house. This workshop requires pre-registration to ensure we have enough materials, call us at 828-658-3700 to sign

Here are some pictures and some of the sentiments about the use of doves to celebrate our community. Thanks to Julia Gaunt of Asheville White Dove Releases for sharing her following words of wisdom and beautiful birds with us. "White doves have represented peace for centuries. On April 12th at 4pm we released a flock of doves to celebrate Spring and the wish for our community to live in peace and harmony. The beauty and grace of how doves come together in support of one another has even greater significance when we have the opportunity to watch them as they ascend in the the sky and gather together to find their way home. You may see that when one or more doves goes astray, the whole flock will circle around to take that bird in. Isn't this a beautiful example of the way that we can be in our own communities? Please know that, no birds are left behind, becaus
